CREAM OF TOMATO | HOMEMADE TOMATO SOUP | Easy & Healthy | GARNISH AND SAVOUR

Ingredients
  • Tomato- 4 medium size
  • Fresh Coriander/ cilantro- 2-3 sprigs
  • Oil- 1 tsp for sautéing ginger, garlic and onion.
  • Oil- 1 tsp for soup
  • Butter- 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper- 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar- 1 tsp
  • Fresh Cream- 2.5 tbsp
  • Fenugreek Leaves- 1/2 tsp
Directions
  • Step 1 Heat some oil.
  • Step 2 Sauté ginger, garlic and onion.
  • Step 3 Add the tomatoes, salt and sugar, stir.
  • Step 4 Cover and cook for 5 mins.
  • Step 5 Add some finely chopped coriander/ cilantro and cook for a minute.
  • Step 6 Blend the contents and thereafter strain in a bowl.
  • Step 7 In a pan heat some oil and a tbsp of butter. (Oil will prevent butter from burning.)
  • Step 8 Add a tbsp of sift flour (maida) and cook for about a minute (do not let the colour change) while stiring continuously.
  • Step 9 Add two cups of water and also add the strained tomatoes to the pan.
  • Step 10 Bring to a boil and add a sprig of finely chopped coriander, some black pepper and sugar.
  • Step 11 Add 2 tbsp of fresh cream and stir.
  • Step 12 Add dried fenugreek leaves and stir.
  • Step 13 To serve, in a soup bowl add some cheese cubes and pour hot soup over it.
  • Step 14 Garnish with a drizzle of fresh cream, crisp bread crumbs and a sprig of mint.

 

CREAM OF TOMATO PHOTO RECIPE:

1. Heat some oil.

2. Sauté ginger, garlic and onion.

3. Add the tomatoes, salt and sugar, stir.

4. Cover and cook for 5 mins.

5. Add some finely chopped coriander/ cilantro and cook for a minute.

6. Blend the contents and thereafter strain in a bowl.

7. In a pan heat some oil and a tbsp of butter. (Oil will prevent butter from burning.)

8. Add a tbsp of sift flour (maida) and cook for about a minute (do not let the colour change) while stiring continuously.

9. Add two cups of water and also add the strained tomatoes to the pan.

10. Bring to a boil and add a sprig of finely chopped coriander, some black pepper and sugar.

11. Add 2 tbsp of fresh cream and stir.

12. Add dried fenugreek leaves and stir.

13. To serve, in a soup bowl add some cheese cubes and pour hot soup over it.

14. Garnish with a drizzle of fresh cream, crisp bread crumbs and a sprig of mint.
